Final Project: Film
For our final, we needed to create a 30sec-1min long time-based work, in my case a film, using what we had learned in class. I wanted to go the route of a comedic short, and used my two friends (also in the class) as actors in my work. I wanted to create something funny, memorable, and quirky. There are several online videos that are similar in purpose, and I really enjoy watching them. So, in an attempt to follow in the footsteps of some of my favorite shorts from the internet, I came up with a quirky, untypical concept and shot it. In order to keep from having a shaky camera, I used a tripod to complete the shots.

The most difficult part of my project was editing the audio, as I was directing them verbally during shooting. The people in the room also were laughing, which was caught on camera. I had to edit out the laughter and my direction, while still keeping in some sound for the slaps, etc. In order to make the background sound silent, later, I looped some audio of silence early on in the film over the clips using Adobe Premiere.
